Health Insurance Rates In California

Where are health insurance rates headed? Some believe that rates will only increase in time regardless of laws that will be passed.

“In 2014, the health care changes will take effect and instigate rate increase requests by the insurance companies.According to lawmakers, California policyholders face unreasonable premium hikes. Insurance companies fighting the current bill, pressured lawmakers for the last three years, successfully impeding similar protective bills in California.”

“Johnston blames costs such as hospital bills, physician fees, medications and medical equipment along with insufficient reimbursements by Medicare and Medi-Cal for the elevated costs associated with medical care in general.”

Liability Only On Older Cars

One thing you must consider if driving an older inexpensive car is dropping the full coverage and going with a liability only policy. When you compare California Insurance Quotes for liability only you will see a big difference, especially if the vehicle is driven by a younger driver or a driver with many bumps in their driving history.

Now if your older car happens to be a classic, of course liability california insurance will not be enough. For some classic cars companies like Hagerty are great. The insurance coverage is top notch and you usually pay less.
